Dear Lucile:

Hurrah for McKinley, Remember the Maine and the Free Coinage of Silver at the Ration of Sixteen to One!!!

Since you will not go to Texas until August, I can leave here on the 22nd, meet Stanley at St. Joe, and head for Stockton and Wauneta. I'll see that pictures are taken in Kansas.

I don't know how long I'll be at Wauneta. I'll arrive there on the 24th or 25th. We'll run up to Grant Perkins County, Neb., where my Grandfather lived after Stockton (and got hailed out for three years!). I'll not stay long with Stanley. He'll take me to the U. P. at North Platte. I'll wire you in time for you to meet me. It would be bully to hunt books, wouldn't it? Bower threatened to go hunting too.

Say sweet things to Perky for her old friend, Gaki. Yo-Yo does not send greetings to her Yo-Yo says: Grrrrrr! Arf! Arf! (That's not very nice of her.)

The U. of Mo. Press plans to reissue the Lyrics & Dramas as the first volume of a new series. I'll tell you "all" when I see you. Three new additions within a year or so! Bully.

I can select the quotes from the thesis when I get there.

I finished the videotapes of the Messiah yesterday. The plan is to run them in the fall, it seems.

Affectionately,

John N.
c/o Stanley Smith The Wauneta Breeze Wauneta, Nebraska

I'd say I'll be here or nearby on the 25th, 26th, 27th.
