Dear Bower:

Many thanks again! It would be bully if Mott could manage to do the article — and he would do a corker; but I wonder if he is in a position to take on the job. He is reasonably well, I think, and he certainly is my friend (he has been for 46 years!) But I'm afraid he's crowded with work.

On Dec. 10 his portrait will be unveiled at a testimonial dinner. The painting (by Ned Etheridge) will hang in the School of Journalism with the other Deans. I'm happy about this; He is a dear man, and he has been a great booster for my work.

My bust will be unveiled in the Senate Chamber of the Capitol Building in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Dec. 7 at 11 A. M. We'll drive up — the girls, Lyn, Gail, and I. —

I think of you dear peoples very often, and I fancy myself walking about the house.

I do deeply appreciate appreciate my "other home"

Be good to yourself and don't work too d -- hard.

Prost!

Affectionately
