Dear Bower:

I'm thinking a lot of you and Stewart alone in that beautiful house, and I'm worrying too about Lucile. Connie wrote me that Lucile was getting along well, and I do hope she may soon be back with you.

That is dear of you, good friend, to call your home my "second home". I've felt that way about it when I've been there.

I've been through a strenuous time, and am just now getting really rested. The affair at Lincoln was beautifully planned and worked out. Lucile's fine message about my Mona was read. A number of VIP's took part in the affair.

I do want to hear something very encouraging about Lucile.

Affectionately,

John N.

I'm sure Perky wonders what has happened!
