Dear Friend:

Hurrah for Wilcox! I'm glad I knew him. What a life he had here! And, better still, what a life he has just begun!

I'm excited about the trip you are planning! What a trip! And how right it is that you and Nita can make it together! So often good things happen when there's no one to share.

It's dear of you — and quite like you — to care about preserving my voice on records. Sandy Gray has a number of tapes all ready for processing, and

(over)
sooner or later these will be used to make discs.

Yesterday there was a nice little ceremony in the Library here when the TV station presented five of my half-hour videotapes and kinoscopes to the Western MSS Collection — all to be a part of the Neihardt Memorial Collection (Librar (my Library, letters, MSS, papers etc). My bronze bust will guard the entrance to this collection. Isn't this too good almost to believe?!

You are going to have the time of your lives together, and I'm so happy about it

Affectionately

John Neihardt
