Dear Ron Hull:

I'm sorry I missed you when I was in Lincoln recently. I had just completed a five-weeks lecture tour, during which I lectured 47 times and travelled 4500 miles by car. Then also, I had 7 hours of autographing at Miller and Payne's bookstore. For full measure, I caught a violent cold the last day (my first in 8 years!). My plane reservation had been made a week before, so I left Lincoln in a hurry.

I do want to see and talk with you the next time I come your way.

The tour was a great success — most responsive audiences!

I note that you are running some of my stuff on Channel 12. Bruce Nicoll, writing about the tapes, says: "I think they are marvelous"

Kind thoughts

John G. Neihardt
