Dear Lucile:

It was good to hear from you again, and to be reassured as to your being or not being in the land of the living.

I am catching up on my letters now by dictating to Enid, and I haven't much to say in particular; but I want to keep close to you.

Of course I want to come when you can use me to the best advantage. If that is in April or May, I can arrange to suit your convenience.

I note what you say about the Holm MS. Yesterday I spent several hours in the Manuscripts Collection room looking for the Holm affair. No luck. I have told Mrs. Holm what you have said about the MS, and I also relayed your question as to the files of the Bancroft Blade. Mrs. Holm has given me the address of a man who may have a copy of the Holm biography. In the MSS room they can't imagine what could have happened to this MS. If you can remember anything more about it, I wish you would tell me. The girl in the Collection room asked me to write you and asked if you had any memory as to the folder the MS was in. It would probably be placed with related material, and that would help locate it if it is somehow hiding in the Collection here.

I am glad to hear you will take account of all my corrections and suggestions. They are really necessary and you must know I am definitely on your side.

I have been reading your dissertation again. Surely it's a fine job, and we both know that the Biography will be still finer.

Hurrah for old Stewart! I like to think of him because he is fine all around. What a man he will make! Bless his heart!

Hear's an affectionate "arf" and two "woofs" for Jingle. I wish she could know Jacquot, because she would be cr- r -azy about him! He takes care of me night and day.

Affectionate thoughts for you and Bower.
