Dear Bower:

I have not heard from Lucile since she wrote about her father's death, and I am worried. Is she sick? I wish you would drop me a line.

I had my second cataract operation recently, and I'm doing well. It seems that I shall have two fairly good eyes when I get my glasses. They took out the last two stitches yesterday. I hope you can read this.

Here are affectionate thoughts for you, Lucile, and Stewart.
