Dear Lonnie Vanderveer:

I have just run across your letter of April 20 addressed to Mrs. Young and I am glad to note that you may be able to stop off in Lincoln and see us one of these times. I wish you could have been here the 21st for the fiftieth anniversary ceremony at the State Capitol. It was a glorious affair with all the state and city officials present and many other happy people. There was a feeling of enthusiasm in the air that would be hard to describe.

Hoping to see you.

Sincerely,

John G. Neihardt
