Mr. Fred L. Lee 1711 Concord Court, Apt. 303 Kansas City, Missouri 64110
Dear Fred:

I am so glad you have felt that you were neglecting me because I have been fearing that I was seeming to neglect you and I think too much of your friendship to have that happen. I was so glad for your letter. It contains some exciting news for me. I wish I could be present when you will be talking about this old man.

Things are happening to us and our correspondence has become burdensome although we would feel very sorry if it stopped. The latest possibility seems to be that United Artists will issue an album of my readings together with a picture book, I believe. Anyway, we are supposed to receive a contract within a week.

Forgive this short letter and believe that I think often of you.

With the old affection,

John G. Neihardt
