Letter from John G. Neihardt to Slade Kendrick, November 1, 1961
Nov. 1st, '61
Dear Slade:
I've been thinking of you more than usual for some reason or other, and I just feel moved to say hello and get a little closer to you.
So Hello!
Nothing new here. Things go well at the University. Test tomorrow, but I have nothing to do. My assistant is a whale and he has two procters to help him. My Poetry class is at least average — maybe a little better. They work.
What is the latest about your M. S.?
The same old affection for you and Nita John.Did I send you a copy of the new Black Elk Speaks? Do you want a copy of the new printing of the Cycle?
Jno.
