Letter from John G. Neihardt to Bower Aly, February 22, 1962
Feb. 22, '62
Dear Bower:
Many thanks for the Emerald article about Lucile's lecture. I know it was a fine thing. It could not be less. I wish I could have
[hearrd?]
heard.
I was in So Dakota (the University) most of last week. They kept me going, and the response was exciting. I met a number of people who know you either personally or by reputation.
(over)
We had 17 inches of snow the last two days of my visit, and for awhile it seemed I was caught. But by Monday P. M. the runways at Soo City were cleared, and I got back in time for my Tuesday classes.
I don't write to you very often, but I do often think of you — always with affection.
John N.
