Letter from John G. Neihardt to Lucile Aly, September 14, 1965
It was bully to hear you on the phone!
I'm in a hurry to get this note off to you, as you may need all the time possible for your plans.
- Fremont, Sep. 27-28
- Seward 29-30
- Oct 2 Grand Island
- Oct 4 Kearney
- Oct 7
McCookMcCook - Oct 8 Red Cloud
- " 9 ""
- Oct 11 Bancroft
- Oct 12-13 Wayne.
This list is, of course, not complete. I'm taking you up to Wayne, because it's another homecoming affair, I gather.
I don't know what they'll do at Bancroft, but you can see what they're doing there, and they would rejoice to see you.
It would be great to see Bower too!! I can see him as head of the Department anywhere.
It would be sadde
[ning?]
saddening to lose you, Bower, and Stewart to Hawaii. But you'd be back now & then and maybe I could come and see you. (I'm just imagining that you mBower might want to go there — but maybe he doent does not.
Between Wayne (Oct 12-13) and Ogallala, Oct 18) there's quite a gap that we could use for the MS — at least five good days!
