Lincoln, Nebraska 68505
October 4, 1969 Mr. Robert S. Townsend, Editor Missouri Highways Missouri State Highway Commission Jefferson City, Missouri 65101 Dear Robert Townsend:
I have just received your letter of October 2, and I was delighted to hear from you again. I am especialy pleased to know that you are editor of Missouri Highways. Naturally I am interested in your plan to run an article on me and my work.
As my daughter Alice told you, I will be at Skyrim Thursday afternoon through Saturday, October 23 through 25. I will have to return to Lincoln on Sunday, October 26. On one of those days my secretary and I will need to work in the manuscripts collection. I suggest that you choose a suitable time for yourself and your photographers and let me know when you can meet me at Skyrim. I will then plan to be there at that time.
I have a feeling that you are going to make a great success with your magazine, and you have my best wishes.
I remember our old days together with real pleasure, Robert, and I know well your capabilities.
With every kind thought,I am including some material that may be of use to you in planning the article.
