The Honorable Richard Nixon President of the United States The White House Washington, D. C. 20501 Dear Mr. President:

Recently I received from you a letter of congratulations and good wishes in recognition of my ninety-first birthday on January 8.

It is a beautiful message bearing your signature. I prize it greatly; and I am moved to thank you for it with all my heart. I realize that you may not see this letter of mine but I shall at least have had the satisfaction of sending to your office my good wishes for a triumphant conclusion to all your most difficult tasks.

Sincerely yours, John G Neihardt John G. Neihardt
