Letter from John G. Neihardt to Mildred R. Bennett, November 29, 1972
Lincoln, Nebraska 68505
November 29, 1972 Mrs. Mildred R. Bennett 329 North Cedar Red Cloud, Nebraska 68970 Dear Mildred:
It's good to know that your sister Norma will write me about my book, and I am looking forward to hearing from her.
I wasn't especially pleased with the television program. I had only recently recovered from an attack of Asthma and I thought I seemed too tired.
You will be glad to hear that Saturday Review of the Arts will publish a special illustrated article on my book and me in the February number. I am told by Katie Kelly, the special writer, that advance copies will be available in late January.
And here's another one. Best Sellers Magazine lists ALL IS BUT A BEGINNING and it publishes the finest review on the book that I have ever seen.
It is a bit exciting to have two books on the best seller lists at once. I am surprised and I can't quite believe it.
Affectionate thoughts, John Neihardt
