I have your letter of January 19, 1973, asking permission to quote from BLACK ELK SPEAKS in your bicentennial pageant.

So far as I am concerned, I would be willing for you to quote from any of my work, giving proper credit. But first I think you should communicate with my daughter, Hilda N. Petri, who is my lawyer and agent. Her address is P. O. Box 1096, Columbia, Missouri 65201. I am sure she will be sympathetic but I want to be sure about the legal aspects.
