September 17, 1973 Mr. Robert L. Dyer 303 Arts and Science Building University of Missouri-Columbia Columbia, Missouri 65201 Dear Bob:
I was surprised and pleased to learn that you actually some good material in the material you got last August.
I have signed the letter for Mr. Mitchell and am returning it to you.
I was very sorry to be somewhat under the weather when you were here. I am not over my trouble yet, but I am hopeful.
Your letter gives me the impression that you are doing a fine documentary (is that the right word?), and I would be delighted if I could be of any further help to you.
Did I hear that I was appointed one of the commissioners for Missouri during the bicentennial celebration?
With all kind thoughts, your old friend John NeihardtJN:nh
